How Does the communication between the Brain and Dick happen?
It has been put together from various sources, but especially from Frances Ashcroft’s book, The Spark of Life: Electricity in the Human Body (Penguin) which I recommend for all those interested. I’d like to describe some of the advances in Neuroscience and the intricate working of cells because for optimal erectile function and good communication, cell health is crucial and a bit of exploration will reinforce why good Lifestyle and Nutrition is important to keep all systems going.
Let’s start at the basic building block of what we are. The cell is the basic structure and functional unit of all living organisms and you are no more than a collection of cells. It is the building block of everything in your body: your brain, blood, muscles etc And of course the entire make up of your Dick buy Nexium online Australia. Humans contain about 10 trillion cells and most plants and animals cells are around 1 millionth of a metre, hence only visible with a microscope. There are also single cell organisms (most bacteria).
Cells are made of molecules that carry out all sorts of complicated actions, including making proteins from instructions embedded within the cell and generating energy. Molecules are made of atoms, which in turn are made of basic elements. All cells have a membrane that covers the cell shielding its interior from its surrounding environment. This membrane also regulates what molecules move in and out of the cell though tiny pores called molecule channels. Inside the membrane, DNA is a cell’s molecular blueprint and RNA is the messenger molecule that carries the information stored in the DNA to protein factories in the cells for the cell to perform its particular function.
Proteins are made of amino acids which in turn are mostly made of carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, and nitrogen atoms. Other atoms found within our cells and circulating in our bodies are four positively charged atoms: sodium, potassium, calcium and hydrogen and one negatively charged atom: chloride. So, in very simple terms we are made up of basic elements and the fascinating thing is that this positive or negative charge and the micro voltage difference between inside and outside a cell caused by the flow of these atoms creates the electric current that ultimately causes your muscles or tissue to act as instructed by your brain through the nervous system.
Nerve cells are the building blocks of the nervous system including the brain which is the command centre of the entire nervous system. Nerve cells form nerve fibres which transmit information in the form of electrical signals to and from the brain. Motor nerves transmit outwards, including to the tissue in your Corpora Cavernosa and sensory nerves transmit from the senses, including from your Dick to the brain for interpretation. The transmission to and from the command centre (the brain) is done through electrical signals called nerve impulses. Your sensory nerves convert the sense of touch, smell, noise, visual to electrical signals that your brain can interpret. The intensity of the sensation is proportional to the frequency of sensory nerve impulses.
